General Contractor Boise

Joe Levitch

My name is Joe Levitch I am a NARI  Certified Remodeler. I grew up in my father’s shadow remodeling in Berkeley, California. After graduating from high school, I followed my interest in emergency medicine and became an EMT. I worked in Oakland California for 2 years, then attended Stanford University Medical Center’s Paramedic program. I worked in San Mateo County as a Paramedic up until September of 1980 when I came to Boise to rescue a bankrupt business, Flying Pie Pizza, which has made national news on many occasions. Flying Pie is renowned for its quality, creativity and care for the community on both sides of the counter. I have since sold my portion of that business and continue in an advisory capacity.

I continued to pursue my love of emergency medicine with Ada County Paramedics for 10 years. I am a founding member of Saint Alphonsus Life Flight and continue to work in the Air Ambulance business as a Flight Paramedic.

In 2001, I bought and completely remodeled several homes on my own and rediscovered the joy of remodeling. In 2005, I established Levco Builders LLC. I am an active member of NARI (The National Association of the Remodeling Industry) and recently earned my Certified Remodeler certification. I utilize one full time Project Manager. I have been honing my remodeling skills while practicing remodeling, primarily in the north end. I am a registered contractor in Idaho and the company is an EPA Certified Firm. We are all Certified Renovators and are allowed to work on pre 1978 homes.

The danger associated with Lead Based Paint has inspired me to further my education. I recently went to UNLV and became certified as an EPA Lead Paint Inspector and Risk Assessor. I established a new business with my partner Gail Duke named Lead Locators LLC. We now own two portable XRF machines; this amazing machine will identify lead in all things immediately. We are now testing homes throughout Southwest Idaho. My goal is to offer our specialty lead inspection services to the general public, the professional contractors of our region, and HUD related projects for municipalities. I am also passionate about keeping kids lead free and anticipate assisting the state and local agencies when a child with elevated blood lead level is identified to help locate the cause and eliminate it.

My latest involvement in NARI is as chairman of the newly created Lead Awareness Committee, I like to be referred to as the “Lead Czar”. The goal is to be a role model for all other NARI chapters and to be a source of information and guidance for our members.

Ron

My name is Ron Ireland, The youngest of 4 kids, three being boys. My dad believed in teaching his boys how to work hard and think before doing.

I grew up in a small timber town 100miles North of Seattle Washington where I was fortunate enough to have a dad who was a skilled craftsman and enjoyed sharing his craft. Working with my dad as a teenager taught me some invaluable lessons. My first building experience was at age 14 when I framed a house for my grandmother as a summer job. It was a long summer but I loved what I created and it beat picking strawberries, raspberries and putting up hay.

Since 1970 I worked in the Seattle area building a variety of structures from water / wastewater treatment plants, and remodeling  office buildings and assembly plants at Boeing Aircraft, to remodeling shopping malls and skyscrapers in downtown Seattle.

1n 1993 my wife and I moved to Montana and bought a rundown motel and totally remodeled it. At the same time I partnered with my son-in- law and formed a company called Rocky Mountain Furniture. During that hectic time my wife and I bought and I remodeled a 3000sf 3 bedroom 3 bath home and turned it into a 7 bedroom 4 bath home and started an assisted living facility for the elderly. After 10 successful years we sold our business and moved back to Boise.

In 2006 I began working for Strite Design & Remodel as a project manager. When the economic downturn occurred remodeling slowed and I was recruited by Joe to Levco Builders where I double as a project manager and senior carpenter.

Remodeling Boise

Josh

Josh is our latest addition to the Levco Family. He is a native to Idaho who has lived in Boise for 20 years. He spent a lot of his childhood reading blueprints that his father would bring home from work, and building things. This inspired and fascinated him to get involved in the world of construction. Josh expanded his interest in architecture and design, when he attended Boise State University. He realized in college that he wanted to continue to pursue construction as a career.

In 2005 Josh started Elite Finish Carpentry. Josh brings his extensive knowledge of remodeling along with his passion to succeed, and a common sense approach to everything he does. Josh believes firmly that in anything you do in life, you better do it to the best of your ability. He is constantly refining his process, sharing ideas, and seeking out educational opportunities in the field. Whether he is locating great subcontractors or pitching in to resolve a difficult issue, he is tirelessly striving to deliver the best remodeling experience to our clients. “We are always on stage”, says Josh, “what we do in remodeling goes way beyond the jobsite and the 8-5 workday”. He gets that what we do is a reflection of who we are and how we interact with our community. One of his primary areas to focus on is developing great subcontractor relationships. He understands that it will ultimately strengthen Levco’s reputation.

As a project manager, Josh handles all aspects of the construction phase from start to finish. He has taken customer service to a new level at Levco. His attention to detail, ambition, enthusiasm, and work ethic are contagious. Having Josh on board has satisfied an itch that needed to be scratched in this company.
