MINOR KITCHEN REMODELING

This is our most popular kitchen remodeling project and involves the least amount of changes in place but replace fronts with new raised-panel wood doors and. It also has the potential to improve a kitchen dramatically in the least amount of time. We start with a basic 10’ x 20’ space and provide the improvements listed below. The layout of the kitchen remains the same. This assumes that there is good access to the kitchen remodel project and that the kitchen is in good working order. It rarely involves the exterior of the home or adjacent rooms.

MAJOR KITCHEN REMODELING

This is our next most popular kitchen remodeling project and involves a moderate amount of changes. It has the potential to improve the functionality of a kitchen dramatically. We take an outdated 15’ x 15’ kitchen with a functional layout of about 40 linear feet of cabinets, including a 3’ by 5’ foot island. The layout of the room often changes as well as the overall size. You may
also need new windows and doors. Often opening walls is a welcome alteration. This project is likely to involve other rooms.

We do this project infrequently. We usually find that this type of project built in conjunction with an addition or whole house remodel. I have included it as a comparison model for other kitchen remodeling projects in our region according to Remodeling Magazine. This assumes an existing large kitchen in an up-scale home with an unlimited budget and high-end taste. All sorts of possibilities are entertained including relocation of the kitchen. Other rooms and ceiling elevations will be involved.
