Even the casual observer easily recognizes quality craftsmanship from a thrown together project, within the first few months of completion.

This is our most popular bathroom remodeling project and involves the least amount of changes. It also has the potential to improve a bathroom dramatically in the least amount of time. We start with a basic 5’ x 7’ space and provide the improvements listed below.

The layout of the bathroom remains the same. This assumes that there is good access to the project and that the bathroom is in good working order. It rarely involves the exterior of the home or adjacent rooms.

Includes:

• Replace bathtub with acrylic
• Replace cabinet with new (semi-custom)
• Upgrade electricity to new code.
• Replace over mirror light fixture.
• Replace toilet with low flow unit.
• Replace tub shower valve and drain
• Add new tile surround with soap niche
• Add new flooring vinyl
• Add new laminate countertops
• Add new sink and faucet
• Add new matching tile back splash
• Relocate HVAC vent to toe kick
• Replace exhaust fan/light unit
• Freshly repaint including trim
• Install new towel bars

Levco Remodeling

This is our next most popular bathroom remodeling project and involves a moderate amount of changes. It also has the potential to improve the functionality of a bathroom dramatically along with the look.

We start with a basic 5’ x 7’ “guest bath” or 10’ x 12’ “master bath” and provide the improvements listed below. The layout of the bathroom may change, as well as the size. You may need new windows and doors. This assumes that there is good access to the project and that the bathroom is in good working order. This project is likely to involve other rooms and the exterior of the home. Many of the same components of the minor bathroom remodeling project are included plus.

Includes:

• Plumbing fixtures may be rearranged in the room
• Replace bathtub with acrylic
• Replace separate shower unit with custom tile unit
• Replace shower valve with pressure & temperature balanced
• Replace toilet with comfort height
• Add new under mount sinks and faucets
• Replace cabinets with new (semi-custom) cabinets
• Replace & relocate lighting fixtures
• Add new tile flooring.
• Add solid surface counter tops
• Add tile surround of tub and baseboards
• Add matching tile or solid surface backsplash
• Replace windows & doors
• Replace shower door
• Add / replace ventilation system
• Add new natural lighting with solar tube
• Freshly repaint the room including trim

We do this bathroom remodeling project infrequently. We usually find that this type of project built in conjunction with an addition or whole house remodel. I include it as a comparison model for other bathroom remodeling projects in our region according to Remodeling Magazine.

This assumes an existing large master bathroom in an up-scale home where artistic taste and uniqueness is the driving force. All sorts of possibilities are entertained including relocation of the bathroom, balconies, and ceiling elevations will often be involved. As before, the components of the minor and mid-range bathroom remodeling projects are included plus.

• Add audio/visual components and a sound system
• Replace/relocate lighting fixtures
• Tile surround of tub/shower, backsplash and baseboards
• Replace/relocate windows, doors as needed
• Add new natural lighting with operable skylights, light wells
• Add frameless shower doors
• Repaint the rooms including special treatments/faux finishes
