1930’s Kitchen Makeover
The Challenge
This was a 1937 kitchen in a non-historic part of the city. The home had tons of charm with arches. The countertops had tile and had the kitchen has clearly been remodeled in the past. Storage was at a premium. One funny problem was an HVAC register half in and half out of a cabinet.
The Idea
Open the small doorway to the kitchen with a harmonizing arch, Make the entire space kitchen eliminating the mini seating area. Update lighting, add a peninsula.
The Solution
We opened the kitchen to the dining area with a peninsula with pendants. We make a much more functional kitchen. We updated lighting and two windows.
