In addition to being a remodeling contractor Levco is your local Deconstruction Specialist.
Deconstruction Boise
Total or partial deconstruction: We can take a building down to dirt or to the foundation, your choice.
Soft Strip: We can also take a kitchen out or gut a house, your call.
We take materials that still have life in them and reuse, recycle, repurpose, and recirculate them in the community.
Our clients ask us to take down buildings that have value in their building components. In most cases it is worthwhile when that value is in excess of $60,000 as determined by a qualified appraiser.
We are the regional representatives of The Reuse People Of America and are a CDC (Certified Deconstruction Contractor). Our program uses best practices to deconstruct buildings in order to preserve the useful components to the extent possible, in an effort to keep them out of the landfill.
Beyond the obvious benefits to the community of extending the life of the landfill, we are employing folks and diverting useful materials back into the community. We offer owners the ability to donate their building materials for a tax deductible donation. This credit is used to offset the cost to deconstruct.
Results speak for themselves
Cost to demolish $ 40,000
Cost to deconstruct $ 30,000
Tax credit for donation $ 250,000 – $300,000
Materials diverted from the landfill 65%
You do the math. The client in this case ends up with money in their pocket and an empty lot. Earn the Deconstruction Hero designation by the city. To the extent that your project fits the program, we will evaluate it and provide you with a group of nonaffiliated appraisers to examine the project. Once you chose the one to work with we take care of the rest.
The service includes inventory and deconstruction of the building materials in a loving way to prepare them for donation. Once the project is complete, we provide you with the proper documentation for services rendered.
Some Warehouse over the Rainbow
We are actively seeking a warehouse to display our salvaged materials and become a community hub for the creative community, to share how to breathe new life into discarded materials. We remain closely affiliated with Second Chance, another awesome nonprofit in our community that has a heart of gold.
The Word Needs to Get out
I have asked the city to adopt the green building code for residential projects and I have been assured that it is on the 2018 agenda. We want to be at the center of the movement leading the way. We are Waste Warriors, and we intend to win this thing.
