At Levco, we have been blessed with plenty of great remodeling leads. That means that we are frequently asked to come consult on new potential projects. If I can fit 4-5 new prospects in per week as a maximum, I can do well. Given the limited number of hours in the day, I elected to grow and share some of my responsibilities with my team. What I cannot imagine, though,is giving up is that magical initial visit. This is honestly one of my favorite things to do.
To What Do I Attribute My Good Fortune?
I believe I have earned it through being consistent, planting seeds, and watering them. Certifiably my Blog is a big part of our lead stream, but referrals and my contacts in the community are also part of it. These contacts are precious to us and are really our life’s blood. Naturally not all leads are a good fit, so the stream brings leads in and some flow out, keeping the pool fresh. Typically, if there is something structural to be done I am intrigued.
Once you call, we go through a fun Q & A dialogue designed to share our genuine enthusiasm about remodeling, all the while asking enough questions to learn what we can. Booking a visit is the start of something good, simple, and fun.
When I Meet a New Prospect, I Ask Questions
First off, I feel it is my job to get to know you. I combine all of my observational skills, honed as a former carrier in EMS. I am essentially asking “Where does it hurt?” and gathering enough information to make a triage decision and a differential diagnosis all at the same time. I am on your turf and approach with sensitivity in a nonjudgmental way that comes with my experience and responsibility. I also make some assumptions that you need to be aware of.
I Make Some Assumptions:
- You want the best I have to offer.
- You want your project to look good, be functional, and be trouble-free for decades.
- You trust me to have the having the wisdom and ability to improve your existing situation.
Are We a Good Fit for Each Other?
By the time we get through the first visit, we will know a lot more about your wishes and dreams. We will have explored many parameters in order to determine with some certainty that we are a good fit. The next step is a post-visit follow up email with an OPI, as well as an invitation to work together. If it isn’t a fit, that is OK. I will likely have some helpful suggestions or referrals for you. Either way, we part as friends, simple as that.
What Gets Done with All that Information?
If we are a good fit, and you accept our invitation to work together, we invite you to our Client Portal, then book a second visit where you get to meet the team and start the process to identify and spell out all the little details. That’s when we figure out the best way to remodel for you and create the stuff fairy tales are made of.
