Cost vs value 17

This is the 30th year of Remodeling Magazine consistently publishing a great tool to determine what the value of doing remodeling projects in our area. The ROI is an educated guess at what you would be able to recoup if you were able to sell it within the year it was created. The fact that the described projects have remained the same gives me the confidence that that the data is real.

Many of my competitors would rather not have clients see these numbers as they are low for the types of jobs they do, but I feel like no two projects are alike so I celebrate the information.

The ROI of your particular project is never going to be exactly the same but it gets you into the ballpark. Here is an explanation video of the report that is worth watching to gain a deeper understanding of what the report is all about.  For those that want to take a peek here it is in all its glory.

The national average is 65% ROI

At an average of 65% on all 29 projects, one would wonder why the excitement and enthusiasm about remodeling. One tidbit of good news is Boise’s average is higher than that. I say cabin fever. I also believe that there is a trending desire to make our homes a sanctuary from the world. A place to huddle up/ hunker down and be peaceful.
